On May 30, 2024, the lecturer of the Department of Public Health, B.S. Jobalayeva, with students of the 1313 group of the specialty “Dentistry” visited the central library of the city of Semey.  This year, the central library of Semey celebrates a special event — the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding public and statesman Turar Ryskulov. This event became an important milestone in the cultural life of the city, recalling the importance of Turar Ryskulov’s contribution to the history and development of Kazakhstan.

One of the invited lecturers spoke about how Turar Ryskulov fought for the rights of the Kazakh people during the years of political repression and difficult economic transformations. His speech made it possible to better understand how great were the efforts and sacrifices he made for his country. Thus, a visit to the central library in honor of the 130th anniversary of Turar Ryskulov became not only an interesting cultural event for students, but also an important lesson in patriotism and citizenship.
