Master class on the triage system for sorting patients

As part of the international conference on emergency medicine dedicated to the memory of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Z. Dyusupov, the Department of Simulation and Educational Technologies held a master class “Triage sorting of patients in the emergency medicine department”. The master class was devoted to the issues of creating an effective system for sorting emergency patients at the level of the admission department. It should be noted that the triage system ensures the implementation of quality management and safety standards for medical activities based on the use of quality management principles and lean manufacturing technologies in the emergency department.

During the master class, students presented a clinical presentation on the operation of a triage system for sorting patients admitted to the emergency department. The audience, including doctors and nursing staff of hospital emergency departments, discussed current issues of sorting patients with emergency conditions, delivered by ambulance and those who applied to the emergency department on their own, and a joint analysis of internal control processes for the timeliness of procedures at all stages of emergency care was conducted. The master class participants actively asked questions and received clear answers to all of them. Upon completion of the master class, the participants were awarded certificates.
