In 2024, on May 30, a round table “Acute respiratory viral infections” was held at polyclinic No. 3 in Semey. Topical Issues”, moderated by the head of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Shaimardanov N.K., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor Smail E.M.
During the round table, it was noted that the reasons for the ineffectiveness of treatment of acute respiratory viral infections are: late consultation with a doctor, a wide range of etiological structure of pathogens, variability of pathogens and the emergence of new mutations, the presence of concomitant chronic diseases (comorbid background), lack of initial antiviral therapy, lack of patient compliance with taking prescribed medications, use of medications not according to indications.
The speakers presented the presentation “Acute respiratory viral infections. Diagnostics and treatment tactics.” During the round table, the main issues of severe acute respiratory viral infections were discussed, and special instructions on the strategy and tactics of ARVI in pregnant women were discussed.
