On one of the old quiet streets of the central part of Semey, in the Tatar Territory, there is a two-storey house of the XIX century, which preserves the memory of the times when representatives of the Kazakh intelligentsia, representatives of the Alash party gathered here, now it is a department of the State Historical, Cultural and Literary Memorial Reserve – Museum of Abai «Zhidebai-Borili».

   And we, cadets of the 4th platoon of the military department of the Semey Medical University, under the leadership of Colonel of the Medical Service Shyngys Orazmukhametovich Orynbasarov, visited this museum on June 6, 2024, which left an indelible impression on us.

The museum’s expositions are located in four halls, which acquaint visitors with the life and work of Mukhtar Auezov, his public activities, with representatives of the Alash party, the national autonomy of Alash.

   There are figures of Alashevites made of wax – Alikhan Bukeikhanov , Akhmet Baitursynov, Mirzhakyp Dulatov, Mukhtar Auezov and Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev.

    The museum’s exposition presents the issues of the newspaper «Kazakh», which were published in Orenburg. Kazakh intellectuals awakened the national consciousness, the spirit of the people.

    Semey at that time was the center of Kazakh culture and education, many intellectuals were born or lived and worked for the benefit of society in Semey.

    The home life of that time was created on the ground floor.

    The excursion was held at the highest level, it gave us the opportunity to learn more deeply about the history of the Kazakh people, and for this we would like to thank the organizer of this event, Colonel of the Medical Service Orynbasarov Shyngys Orazmukhametovich.
