June 09, 2024, teacher of the Department of Propaedeutics of Childhood Diseases Muratova F.K. with the curatorial group 3625 GM visited the Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nevzorov family.

The museum was founded in 1985, and is currently one of the largest collections of art treasures in Kazakhstan. The museum is located in a complex of buildings, the oldest of which was built in the 1870s by the merchant of the first guild Fyodor Stepanov. In 1988, the Nevzorov family (Yuliy Vladimirovich, his wife Antonina Mikhailovna and daughter Yulia Yulievna) donated more than 500 works of Russian, Soviet and foreign art to the museum. This collection dates back to the middle of the 19th century – Yu. V. Nevzorov inherited works of art collected by his father and grandfather, significantly enriched and increased the collection. For many years, he studied and systematized his collection, transferring all the accumulated information to the museum, which greatly contributed to research work. The museum’s collections contain more than 3,600 works of art. The museum’s exhibition presents the development of Russian art from the late 18th to early 20th centuries; The section of fine arts of Kazakhstan (more than a thousand exhibits) is represented by the most brilliant and original representatives of national artistic culture. There is a small department of Western European painting and graphics of the late 16th – early 20th centuries. Also exhibited are works of art from the CIS countries of the twentieth century – Russia, Central Asia, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus and others. The students were very interested in visiting a local landmark. The excursion to the museum named after the Nevzorov family was fascinating; the students enthusiastically listened to the history of the museum, the history and significance of each painting.
