In the modern world, extremism and terrorism are among the most serious problems and threats to society and State integrity. Taking into account current trends, great attention is paid to this issue in the republic.

On June 7, 2024, the lecturer of the Department of Public Health, D. E. Sovetbekov, held an event for groups 301-302 of the PH specialty on the topic “There is no extremism”. The purpose of the eventis to inform young people about measures to prevent religious extremism and terrorism.

The social and material in security of young people, frequent maximalism in assessments and judgments,psychological immaturity, significant dependence on the opinions of others–these are the main reasons why radical ideas are easily spread among young people.

Of course, preventing extremism and terrorism among young people is much more effective than eliminating the consequences of such phenomena. At the end of the event, the students’ questions were answered.
