IVBDV

On 06/20/2024, the department held a summer school on the topic of IVBDV with students of group 627. At the department of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch of the NAO MUS G.Semey held a summer school on 06/20/2024. The Summer School is a system of additional educational services for 6th year students specializing in General Medical Practice. The theme of the summer school is “IVBDV”. IVDB is a strategy developed by WHO, based on evidence-based medicine, which, if applied correctly, reduces the incidence, mortality and disability of children under 5 years of age. The IVBDV strategy is based on a targeted assessment of the condition of a sick child. Unlike the “golden pediatric” standard, when the assessment of a child’s condition is carried out by organs and systems, a targeted assessment means a strictly defined sequence of actions by a medical professional (an algorithm for examination and decision-making) in order to eliminate the risk of death during this disease and not cause harm to the child, which can lead to death.  A very important problem in pediatrics is the provision of medical care to children at the primary health care level with various respiratory pathologies (general respiratory viral infection, bronchitis, pneumonia of varying severity, stridor, bronchial asthma), diarrhea, fever, nutritional problems and others. A mandatory symptom present in all these conditions is cough or difficulty breathing, diarrhea, fever. The purpose of the summer school is to expand and deepen students’ knowledge of pediatrics. Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical exercises. The theme of the summer school aroused genuine interest among the students. The relevance of the topic is beyond doubt. After analyzing the topic, students actively asked questions to the teacher.
