On August 14, 2024, the entrance examinations for the PhD doctoral program in the specialty “Medicine” were completed at the Semey Medical University. According to the Order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 31, 2024 N500 “On the placement of a state educational order for the training of specialists with higher and postgraduate medical and pharmaceutical education for the 2024-2025 academic year”, 10 places have been allocated for the university for doctoral studies in the specialty “Medicine”, for which 14 people applied.

The examination committee conducted the 3rd stage of entrance examinations in accordance with the Order of the Chairman of the Board – Rector Dyusupov A. N360 dated July 30, 2024, in the following composition:

• Chairman of the Commission: Dyusupov Altay – Chairman of the Board-Rector.
• Members of the Commission:
  • Berikuly Duman – PhD, Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Education and Organizational Issues;
  • Omarov Nazarbek – PhD, Vice-Rector for the Clinic;
  • Mansurova Jamilya – PhD, Head of the Department of Therapy;
  • Zhumanbaeva Zhanar – PhD, Head of the Department of Nursing;
  • Pivina Lyudmila – PhD, Professor of the Department of Emergency Medicine named after Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dyusupov A.Z.;
  • Masabaeva Meruert – PhD, Chief Researcher of the Center for Research Laboratory;
  • Bulegenov Tolkyn – MD, Professor of the Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation;
  • Kozykenova Zhanna – PhD, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Physiological Disciplines named after Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.A. Nazarova.
• Secretary of the examination committee: Sharapieva Alua– PhD, Assistant of the Department of Nursing.

To ensure transparency of the entrance examination procedure for the PhD program, the following independent observers were included: Erezhepbaeva Madina – lawyer of the legal support department of SMU, NCJSC and Beisembaev Maksat – compliance officer of SMU, NCJSC. The exams were held in the normal mode, there were no comments from the observers.
