NJSC “SMU” is hosting an adaptation week for freshmen

On September 2 and 3, 2024 at the Semey Medical University NJSC in lecture hall No. 2, the dean of the school of public health, dentistry, pharmacy and nursing, Y.O. Kayrkhanova and school staff held a meeting with 1st year students in the OP “Dentistry”, “Pharmacy”, “Public Health”, “Nursing”.

On the first day of the adaptation week, the dean of the OZSFSD school, Y.O. Kayrkhanova introduced the students to the Academic Policy, Internal Regulations and the Code of Ethics for Students.

Students were also explained the rules for introducing integral GPA on the basis of order No. 2 of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 4, 2024. Students received appropriate answers to their questions about the new LMS system, methods and forms of knowledge monitoring and making up for missed classes.

The second day of the adaptation week – compliance officer M.T. Beisembayev explained the norms of the current anti-corruption legislation, corruption risks when taking exams, and also called for compliance with the Academic Honesty Policy. The head of the department of security, civil defense and emergency situations, A.Zh. Zhunusov, called for compliance with the rules of staying in the dormitories and educational buildings of NJSC “MUS”. University psychologist-sociologist G.E. Nuriden said that students of NJSC “MUS” can contact our psychologist at any time on various issues. The psychologist’s doors are always open to students.

At the end of the meeting, educational specialist Khasenov D.А. and the university student government introduced the university student clubs and invited students to join student organizations and clubs. At the end of the adaptation week, students were given books for the 2024-2025 academic year from the library according to the schedule.
