On 09/16/2024, students of the curatorial group 5318 of the Faculty of General Medicine (curator Smail E.M.) made an excursion to the island of Colonel. This island is one of the main attractions of the city of Semey. Before reaching the island, the students crossed the bridge leading to the island of Colonel.
On the island, the children visited the alley with the memorial “Stronger than Death”, which was erected in memory of the victims of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.
The children enjoyed the fresh air, feeling the untouched nature and the silence of the forest. During the tour, the children talked about their everyday life at the beginning of the school year, what kind of doctors they want to become in the future and about their hobbies. The children really liked the outdoor excursion on a sunny autumn day.
