KazMSA is an independent non-profit non-political organization of medical students and medical graduates of Kazakhstan, which includes students of Semey Medical University. KazMSA is a full member of the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA), consisting of 130 national organizations from 111 countries. According to the IFMSA program, in September 2024, a 4th-year student of the Victor Babeş University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timişoara Andrei Furlan (Romania) visited our university. For a month, a foreign student worked on the project “Clinical and immunological characteristics of bronchial asthma in the Abai region”. The project leaders were associate professors Maukayeva S.B., Kudaibergenova N.K., senior lecturer Mukasheva G.D. The student, under the guidance of teachers, conducted a literature search, processed maps of patients with bronchial asthma, conducted a statistical analysis and eventually prepared a mock-up of an article that we plan to publish in a peer-reviewed journal.
