It is traditional at the Semey Medical University to hold meetings with students of all courses at the beginning of each academic year to familiarize them with the rules and requirements of the university regarding the academic process and other aspects of student activities.
On 19-20 September, 2024, the School of Foreign Students held meetings with 2nd-5th year students of the Foreign Department educational programs “General Medicine”, “Medicine”. The following issues were on the agenda:
- Academic Policy and Disciplinary Policy for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
- Academic Honesty and Anti-corruption behavior.
- Students’ Discipline and Ethics.
- Medical services for international students.
- Accommodation (hostel and renting flats).
Particular attention was paid to the problems of attendance, retakes of missed classes and the assessment model of a discipline. 2nd and 3rd year students were informed about the comprehensive assessment of students’ knowledge upon completion the third year of study, mandatory for all and conducted by the National Center for Independent Examination. In addition, after the meeting information material was sent to student chats of all courses.
