Оn 09/26/2024, a round table on the topic: “Medicinal liver lesions” was held in the Medical Institution “Central Examination Polyclinic” in Semey. The round table was attended by doctors and nursing staff of the institution. Students of the 5411 group of the Faculty of General Medicine reported on the epidemiology of drug-induced liver diseases, stating that 14-24 cases of hepatotoxicity per 100,000 people are registered annually in the world. The speakers noted that medicinal liver lesions are injuries caused by taking a drug or other substance of non-infectious origin, which developed on average from 5 to 90 days from the start of administration. During the round table, the focus was on the risk factors for drug-induced liver damage: predisposition, diffuse liver diseases, female gender, pregnancy, old age, chronic alcohol abuse, and the interaction of drugs used simultaneously. The diagnosis, clinic of medicinal liver damage and therapy were discussed in detail, and the features of cholestatic medicinal liver lesions were highlighted separately.
