On 09/28/2024, students of the curatorial group 3513, residents of the first year of study of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology Muratbekov Zh.E., Aldazhar A. K. (curator Almagambetova A.A., academic mentor, associate professor of the department Ospanova N.N.) held a clean-up day “Ecological action “Taza Kazakhstan”” on the island of Beibitshilik, which is the largest river island in Central Asia.

On September 2, 2024, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking with a Message to the people of Kazakhstan, spoke about the environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan”. The purpose of the campaign is to form an ecological culture among the students of “SMU”, popularize the values of patriotism “Honest man – Honest work – Honest success”, as well as respect for the environment.

On the island of Beibitshilik, students cleared unauthorized landfills of garbage (plastic waste, glass).
