According to the schedule of events with the educational purpose in Semey Medical University, NCJSC on September 27, 2024, under the guidance of associate professor of the department of GMP Apsalikov B.A held a meeting of students 5320 group of the faculty of GM with a doctor-surgeon of the highest category, health care manager, head of the department of outpatient surgery polyclinic number 1 Kisamenov Tulegen Bolatovich.  The speaker gave a brief biography. Tulegen Bolatovich graduated with honors from Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute in 1991 with a degree in ‘Medicine’. After graduating from an internship in the specialty ‘Surgery’ he started his labor activity at emergency hospital of Semipalatinsk city. Since 2001, he has been the head of the outpatient surgery department at Polyclinic No.1 in Semey city. The speaker told the future doctors about his profession and his mentor – the head of the department Midlenko Vladimir Ilyich. The trainees asked questions on emergency and outpatient surgery. The experienced doctor told the students about interesting clinical cases, answered questions, and gave advice to future doctors.

The meeting again emphasized the importance of choosing the profession of a doctor, humanity, and devotion to the Hippocratic Oath. At the end of the event, students thanked Tulegen Bolatovich for the meeting and wished him many years of fruitful work. Such meetings have become a tradition at our university. They play a great role in the formation of future doctors.
