On September 25, 2024, Dean of the School of Public Health, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing Kayrkhanova Ynkar Okimkhanovna held meetings with first-year students of the educational programs “Dentistry”, “Pharmacy”, “Public Health” and “Nursing”. The Dean familiarized the students with the Academic Policy for the 2024-2025 academic year and the Discipline Policy.

From the 2024-2025 academic year, the «Semey Medical University» NCJSC will introduce an integrated GPA for first-year students of all educational programs. In this regard, the students were shown the formula and criteria by which the academic achievements of students will be assessed, what measures to encourage research and socially-oriented activities will be applied by the university.

The goal of this project is to form a person with higher education, participating in the creation of an economy based on knowledge, focused on research, with high social responsibility to society. “The integral GPA reflects the achieved level of academic achievements of the student, the inclination to research activities and the degree of development of social competencies. The main component of the integral GPA is the student’s academic performance, his academic achievements,” emphasized Ynkar Okimkhanovna.
