The head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has a saying: “Guarding the borders of the native land and preserving its integrity is the duty of every citizen.” Therefore, knowing the secrets of the homeland, understanding its history is one of the great responsibilities of every child.

For this purpose, neonatologists from the 2nd academic year of the Department of Pediatrics, Medical rehabilitation and Neonatology named after D.M. Tusipova NCJSC “Semey Medical University” specially visited the state historical-cultural and literary-memorial museum-reserve of Abay “Zhidebay-Borili”.

The future doctors, led by Bakytzhan Alibekovna, assistant of the Department, were satisfied with the indelible legacy of Abai’s path and got acquainted with the ruler’s life once again.

During the excursion, the students learned about the golden fund of Kazakh literature, the wealth of culture and the contribution of great Abay to the society, and strengthened their national identity.

These excursions made in accordance with the educational schedule of the educational institution will contribute to the future generation to preserve and respect the precious heritage left by our ancestors, increase their cultural knowledge, and feel historical responsibility.
