Scheduled open classes were held at the Department of Dental Disciplines and CHLH according to the annual plan of the department and the OKKMO plan. A link to open classes was sent to the university’s general chats for the participation of teaching staff of other departments for the purpose of creative exchange, familiarization with the methodology of conducting practical classes using innovative, interactive technologies, Practical classes were held on 02.10.24 in 401, 402 groups in the discipline “Clinical endodontics”, on the topic “Chronic pulpitis in children”. Teachers: associate professor Suleimeneva D.M. and assistant Ortbayeva B.E.
The methods of “Inverted class”, “From equal to equal”, “From student to student” and interactive teaching methods were used in open classes: blitz survey, tempazles, SVL, “Own game” Kahoot. The lesson was attended by representatives of the OCCMO, the dean’s office, teaching staff of the Department of SDi ChLH, residents. The theoretical part of the lesson was studied independently, interactively at home through audio, video materials, electronic and paper media. Previously, links to websites with educational materials and assignments were sent to students. The practical consolidation of the material studied at home took place in the form of cases, games, tests and assignments, practicing manual skills on dummies, phantoms
The practical part took place in the form of an analysis of the issues of innervation and blood supply on a demonstration model of an anatomical skull, testing of anesthesia methods on a special dummy, as well as in a treatment room at a dental unit with examination and removal of dental deposits from a volunteer. The teachers played the role of facilitator, mentor, and the students switched from passive listeners to the role of knowledge seekers for developers. The students took an active part in the organization of classes, in the analysis of topics that indicated their good theoretical training and interest.
