On October 4, 2024, the grand opening of the student scientific circle “Public Health” took place at the Department of Public Health under the leadership of the responsible teacher  and the head of the circle Nazym Iskakova. This educational space will become a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experience in the field of public health.

The opening ceremony was attended by teachers of the department, as well as students interested in public health, disease prevention and health management. At the opening, welcoming words were delivered by c.m.s., associate professor of the department Samarova U.S. and m.m.s., doctoral student Orazaeva B.B. The head of the circle presented the main activities, goals and objectives, and invited everyone to join the work on scientific projects.

During the first meeting, the participants discussed current challenges in the field of public health, such as vaccination, epidemiological monitoring, problems of a healthy lifestyle and accessibility of medical care. Examples of successful projects from previous years were also considered, which can become the basis for future research.

Special attention was paid to the plans for the next semester. The plans include holding regular meetings, seminars with the participation of specialists, organizing scientific conferences and developing joint projects with medical universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the circle, students will be able to deepen their knowledge, improve practical skills and contribute to solving important social issues.
