Artificial intelligence is a rapidly developing technology that is increasingly being introduced into the life of a modern person. Artificial intelligence is used in many fields, for example in medicine, education, dentistry is no exception.

On 09.12.2024, a meeting of employees of the Department of Dental Disciplines and Maxillofacial Surgery with the Aidentis company, engaged in the analysis of dental images based on artificial intelligence, took place within the walls of the NPJSC”MUS”. The meeting was organized by the Vice-rector for Science and Strategic Development D.M. Shabdarbayeva, Head of the Department of Dental Disciplines and Maxillofacial Surgery  D.M. Suleimeneva.  The department showed active interest and invited Aidentis to its educational and clinical base to familiarize students with the specialty “Dentistry”. The students registered and listened to the company’s consultant. To increase the effectiveness of the educational process, clinical activities, improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dental diseases, the staff of the department plans to use artificial intelligence in their educational and clinical activities as a tool for performing practical tasks in the learning process. Aidentis has developed a module for analyzing orthodontic data using artificial intelligence.  The innovative development is designed to help orthodontists, residents, interns work more efficiently, diagnose  quickly and accurately as possible and speed up the process of prescribing treatment. In the future, we plan to develop periodontics, gnatology, etc.
