Screening is an essential component of a set of preventive medicine measures aimed at identifying a previously unrecognized disease or risk factor through questioning, physical or laboratory examination, as well as through other procedures that can be performed relatively quickly. The purpose of screening is to identify the disease before its symptoms appear, that is, early detection, early treatment and, consequently, an increase in the quality and life expectancy of the patient. It is important to note that screening is a free procedure!!!

Arterial hypertension (AH) has been a significant public health problem in recent years, and as a result, an increasing burden of the disease on the state. It is a well-known fact that high blood pressure leads to the development of myocardial infarction, stroke and a number of other diseases. Hypertension is one of the main risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, which significantly affects the costs of the patient and the state for the treatment of the disease, complications and long-term consequences. On 12.02. 2025, in order to provide practical assistance to the doctors of Polyclinic N4 in Semey, the staff of the Department GMP of Semey of the  NPJSC «MUS» headed by the head of the department, Professor A.A. Dyusupova, teachers G.T. Kamasheva, T.I.Terekhova together with GP interns, 604 groups participated in conducting screening medical examinations of men and women aged 40-70 years who were not on dynamic monitoring with arterial hypertension. Interns participated in two measurements of blood pressure at intervals of 1-2 minutes in a sitting position, Express Diagnostics of total cholesterol, determination of low — density lipoprotein (LDL) levels, conducting a standard ECG study.
