On February 11-12, 2025, the head of the Department of Surgical Disciplines of the SMU NCJSC, M.T. Kuderbayev, together with the head of the Surgery Department of the Semey City Emergency Hospital, B.M. Tuleuov, conducted an outreach master class for surgeons from the Urjar district. As part of the master class, a series of laparoscopic surgeries were performed, and a consultative reception of patients was held. The development of minimally invasive surgery in rural district hospitals is a priority for the advancement of surgery in Kazakhstan. Laparoscopic procedures in abdominal surgery are on par with traditional interventions in terms of surgical radicalism, while retaining all the advantages of minimally invasive access. All surgeries were successful, and the patients are in good postoperative condition. Further cooperation between district hospitals and the SMU NCJSC will continue.
