City Military Medical Relay race

On May 8, 2025, the city military medical relay race dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory was held at the Semey Medical University, NCJSC, organized by the Department of Military Training, Public Health, and Nursing. The purpose of the event is to develop first aid skills, form team interaction and increase the physical endurance of students in conditions close to combat.

Teams of students took part in the relay, each of which presented its own name and motto.

The competition included four stages:

  1. Applying a dressing for an open pneumothorax.
  2. Putting on a conditionally wounded “helmet for the wounded in the head.”
  3. Artificial lung ventilation (IVL).
  4. Evacuation of conditionally wounded using sanitary stretchers.

All the teams demonstrated excellent training, high level of knowledge and teamwork.

Following the results of the relay race, the teams of students of the NAO “Semey Medical University” and the Higher Medical College named after D. Kalmataev were solemnly awarded diplomas of I, II and III degrees.
