A safe place for future doctors to practice

The Semey Medical University Educational and Clinical Center hosted the opening of an intensive care unit equipped with modern equipment and high-tech robot simulators that simulate a wide range of critical conditions, which will provide students with the opportunity to safely practice practical patient management skills in conditions as close as possible to real clinical practice. The equipment is designed to teach highly realistic simulation in the emergency room and intensive care for children and adults.

The opening ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Board-Rector Altai Dusupov, CEO of Virtumed LLC, Board member of the Russian Society for Simulation Training in Medicine, specialist in simulation training, anesthesiologist and intensive care unit Anatoly Verevkin, MD, Professor Serikzhan Botabaev and Head of the Department of Healthcare of the region Abai Talgat Moldabekov.
