The National Dictation was held at the university, timed to coincide with the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated on September 5 – the birthday of Akhmet Baitursynov.
This project, organized on the initiative of the public association “International Society of the Kazakh Language” with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, is aimed at expanding the scope of the state language, raising the status of the Kazakh language.
The project was attended by about 480 people from the administrative and managerial corps, faculty and about 470 students who demonstrated their respect for the Kazakh language, language literacy and civic engagement.
The university staff, supporting this initiative, considers an important task to contribute to the development of the state language, the popularization of national identity. The “national dictation” contributed not only to increasing the respect of the university staff for the state language, but also to the development of the writing culture and language literacy of the participants.
