Peer-Reviewed Medical Scientific and Practical Journal
The journal “Science & Healthcare” (online ISSN: 3007-0244, Print ISSN: 2410-4280) was founded in 1999. The founder of the journal is the NCJSC “Semey Medical University” of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The journal publishes the results of original research, literature reviews, clinical case reports, brief reports, and conference reports on a wide range of issues related to clinical medicine and public health, healthcare organization and management, medical education, radiation safety issues, radiation medicine, and rehabilitation of victims of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.
The journal’s main readership is the medical scientific community, specialists in the field of clinical medicine, public health, and radiation safety.
Included in the list of Publications Recommended by the Science and Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for publishing major scientific results (Order No. 603 dated July 12, 2024).
It is indexed in both domestic and international databases, including Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, Crossref, ICI World of Journals, Global Health, CAB Abstracts, InfoBase Index, Directory of Research Journals Indexing, Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), E-library.ru, Cyberleninka.ru, All-Russian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information of Russian Academy of Sciences (VINITI RAS), Kazakhstan Citation Database of the National Center for Scientific and Technical Information, the Republican Interuniversity Electronic Library, NSD (Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals), Council for Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (CONEM), Russian Agency for Digital Standardization (RACS), and Database Indexing.
The journal publishes articles in full-text format in English. It adheres to international standards of practice (ICMJE) and strict ethical principles (COPE), and practices double-blind peer review when selecting articles.
According to the Russian Science Citation Index report dated November 18, 2025, based on the Science Index ranking among 10 Kazakhstani medical journals included in this database, the scientific and practical peer-reviewed medical journal Science and Healthcare holds a leading position – 1st place, with an impact factor of 0.174. Of the 1,631 publications of our journal listed in the e-Library, we have been cited 659 times.
The Herfindahl index for citing journals has decreased to 158.
The ten-year Hirsch index has been 18 for three years.

Frequency: once every two months, 6 issues per year.
