Anti-Corruption training of SMU students is the cross-cutting theme of the whole period of study. It includes various types of activity. This includes wide media coverage of activities and the active position of teachers, youth mentors and their personal example. All these factors have influence on the formation of patriotic education among students, including the culture of anti-corruption. The Anti-Corruption Committee actively initiates and participates in various events that contribute to the upbringing of a highly cultural personality of a future doctor.
On October 23, 2019 members of the Anti-Corruption Committee together with the Department of Legal Support of NCJSC “SMU” held a meeting of students of our university with the famous Kazakh writer Zhan Akzhanov, whose works are devoted to the problems of corruption in our country, including in medicine. Life situations of the heroes of the works of Zhan Muharabovich are close and clear to the readers, as they cover in detail the issues of social orientation, experienced by every citizen, and promote spiritual and cultural wisdom of the people of Kazakhstan. The work of the famous writer is especially valuable because Zhan Mukharabovich is our compatriot. He is a native of Kazalinsk district of Kyzylorda region, he has dreamed of becoming a writer since childhood. He has perfectly mastered not only Russian, but also Italian, Malay, English and Thai languages. For a number of years, Zhan Mukharabovich improved his skills as a journalist abroad. He is the author of a number of books, for example: “Sweet Rain,” “The Sun Will Smile on You,” “Сенің түнгі Күнің,” “Doctor’s Way,” “Steppe and Fate,” “Аспаннан құлаған тастар” and others.
During the meeting, many students asked questions and received comprehensive answers. A member of the Anti-Corruption Committee, Acting Senior Lecturer of the Department of General Education Subjects Muzdybayeva, gave a very warm and heartfelt speech. At the end of the meeting, on behalf of NCJSC “SMU”, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee Oksana Usenova wished the distinguished guest further creative success.
