On February 20, 2020, the MED TALKS by KazMSA project was held to attract medical professionals for motivational meetings with future doctors, to create a platform for ideas, worth disseminating and translating within the walls of Medical University of Semey by the Kazakhstan Medical Students Association (KazMSA), together with members of Student Government and with the assistance of the Committee of Youth Affairs. Recall that the implementation of this project began on February 19, 2019 at the Medical University of Semey.
The purpose of this event is motivation for the development of professional competence and personal qualities of students, supporting of medical students before the session. MED TALKS is a popular project, whose task is to unleash the professional potential of students and promote advanced ideas in the medical field.
The motive is an internal motivation of a person to a particular type of activities (action, communication, behavior) associated with the satisfaction of a specific need and the achievement of goals.
For some students, it is motivated according to desire to knowledge, to master high professional skills in the chosen specialty. For others, the leading motive may be to obtain a diploma of higher education to satisfy their own ambitions, and this, in turn, will not bring significant benefits to the development of society.
Therefore, it is necessary to strive for the formation of cognitive interest in the chosen professional field, which will help give an impetus to the formation of successful professional readiness of students.
Guest speaker : Ozhmukhametova Elvira Kelgembaevna- MD, PHD of the Department of Pharmacology named by Musin M.N. The second speaker is Lalitmohan Gurjar – the 3rd year student of the 355th group of the faculty of General Medicine. After the speakers’ speeches, participants received answers to their questions.
