Students highlighted to schoolchildren issues related to preventive measures against the spread of bad habits and their consequences

16/11/2022 was held by the teachers of the Department of Public Health Iskakova A. M. and Maratova D. M. career guidance work with high school students of gymnasium №37 named after. Ybray Altynsarin with the involvement of curatorial groups 1301 dentistry, 202 public health.

The students enlightened to schoolchildren on issues related to preventive measures against the spread of bad habits and their consequences, such as: alcohol, smoking and drug addiction. At the age of 13–17, a person is no longer a child, but not yet an adult. The risk of succumbing to temptation and acquiring bad habits is quite high. Most often it is about alcohol, smoking and drugs.

Drinking alcohol for a teenager is a way to prove individuality, to show that he is an adult. However, at this age, alcoholism develops extremely quickly and causes great damage to the child’s body.

Smoking among teenagers is a way to join a new company, the imitation mechanism works. The number of girls smoking today is equal to the number of boys addicted to cigarettes.

Drug addiction is the most serious problem of our time, it is rapidly spreading among adolescents and is due to the infantilism of the child’s psyche (the inability to make decisions on their own).

A presentation and a video were presented on the topic: “Smoking, alcoholism and drug use among young people as a social problem.” The schoolchildren asked their questions and received detailed information.
