This is a significant and special day for all of us. This is a holiday that fills our hearts with pride and gratitude.

During the years of severe trials, all our people stood up to defend their native land. Our great-grandfathers, grandfathers and fathers, not sparing their lives, fighting on various fronts, thought about our freedom and peaceful future. We have won a Great Victory in the most terrible war of mankind!

I bow low to all veterans and home front workers for our peace, peace and a peaceful sky for future generations!
