On May 26, 2023, a meeting of students of the curatorial groups of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the NAS RK Raisov T.K. was held by the urologist of BSMP Sekey N. and obstetrician – gynecologist Mukhamediyarova L.A. The meeting was attended by curatorial groups 1101, 1103, 1121 OP “General Medicine” and 2324, 2326 groups OP “Pediatrics”.

The guests presented slides about their biography, told the meeting participants about their choice of a future profession, which led to the decision to enroll in a medical school, about university studies, hobbies, about student life, friendship and mutual assistance of fellow students, as well as about the friendly, sympathetic attitude of teachers to students. Sekei N., spoke about the specifics of the profession of a urologist, about the important qualities that a urologist should have, about the lifestyle that affects the future of the male sex, about sexually transmitted infections and prevention. Obstetrician–gynecologist Mukhamediarova L.A. told the students about methods of contraception (hormonal, intrauterine, barrier, emergency contraception, etc.), about puberty, about female and male reproductive systems. She focused on the effectiveness, indications and contraindications of each method, showed the formula of the Pearl index.

The students liked the topic of the conversation very much, at the end of the meeting, the doctors answered anonymous questions that had been asked by the students beforehand. Sekey Nurbolat and Laura Altayevna wished the students success in their studies and patience. I think that after this meeting, all students will increase their interest in studying and these specialties.
