In accordance with the approved “Regulations on the organization of the winter / summer school” at our university, the Department of Propaedeutics of Children’s Diseases held the Summer School “Orphan diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in children.” The summer school was held for fourth-year students, interns and residents from June 16 to June 21, 2023. The training was conducted online through the ZOOM platform.
The school presented diagnostic criteria, modern methods of treatment, the latest developments focused on evidence-based medicine for orphan diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in children. The summer school program included the following topics: Hereditary tufting enteropathy in children. Chronic diarrhea in children. Malabsorption syndrome. UC in children. Crohn’s disease in children. A clinical case of liver cirrhosis and congenital agenesis of the gallbladder in a child of the first year of life. At the end of the school, feedback was received from the students. The participants were awarded certificates, the students expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the summer school.[/vc_column_text]
