The traditional “Peace Action” dedicated to the closure of the Semipalatinsk test site took place in the regional center. Activists of the International Anti-Nuclear Movement “Nevada-Semey”, representatives of local executive bodies, public figures, city residents and teachers of the department of general educational disciplines of NСJSC “Semey Medical University” laid flowers at the “Stronger than death” monument and honored the memory of the victims of nuclear tests with a minute of silence.

The event was attended by Deputy Akim of the Abai region Shalkar Baibekov and Akim of the Semey city Nurbolat Nursagatov.
