21 October 2023 was held on the basis of the hostel №1 by the staff of the department of propaedeutics of internal medicine (Zgotova N. S. and Zhazykbaeva L. K.) and curatorial groups 3102, 4403 and 3103 specialty “General Medicine”. The event was also attended by teachers of the department and all invited students of the hostel №1. The event was dedicated to the holiday – “Republic Day”. During the event students were initiated into the history of formation of holiday “Republic Day” and into the history of formation of independent Kazakhstan. Also on the discussion were brought topics on the formation of patriotism and civic consciousness among the younger generation of Kazakhstanis. Students were able to ask questions of interest. Participants expressed their opinions on the holiday and its significance. In the end, a quiz on the theme of the holiday was held with the students.
