On October 11, 2023, the lecturer of the Department of Public Health Beisengazina M.B. with students of the 401 group of the specialty “Public Health” visited the museum of the University named after Manshuk Mametova.
The guide introduced the students to the history and activities of the medical University from its foundation to the present day. The museum of the NAO MUS presents the activities of departments and courses, faculties, libraries, student life, amateur clubs, sports exploits, state awards of the university. And also copyright certificates for inventions, exhibits of inventions are stored. Students saw a gallery of portraits of rectors, worthy graduates, scientists, professors, doctors of sciences of the MUS.
The students also visited the exhibition hall “Manshuk Mametova – Hero of the Soviet Union”. According to the guide’s story, the museum exposition consists of five sections: “Manshuk’s Childhood years”, “Manshuk’s Youth”, “Manshuk’s Feat”, “Soldiers”. Students saw preserved front-line letters, photographs, books, magazines, newspapers, earth from the grave of the Hero, the helmet of a Soviet soldier and the shell casing of a cannon from the height at which she died.
Students learned a lot of interesting and informative things about the history of our university, about the Hero of the Soviet Union, about her biography, heroism, and also received answers to their questions.
