On October 12, 2023, students of the 401 group of the specialty “Public Health” together with the curator, teacher of the Department of Public Health Beisengazina M.B. visited the cinema “Dastan”, the screening of the film “Mirzhakyp. Oyan, kazak!”.

The film tells about the fate of one of the leaders of the Alash Horde, poet and writer Myrzakyp Dulatov. The picture covers the period from 1909 to 1935 and shows what trials the Kazakh intelligentsia overcame during the repressions. The picture covers the most significant chapters of his biography: these are attempts to publish the first poetic collection “Oyan, Kazak!” (“Wake up, Kazakh!”), the first edition of which was confiscated, this is the subsequent persecution by the authorities; this is the writing of his first Kazakh novel “Bakitsyz Zhamal” (“Unfortunate Zhamal” about the difficult fate of a Kazakh woman); This is the creation of historical works that glorify national values and enhance the status of our native language; this is its socio-political activity before and after the revolution.
