On 22.11. 2023, the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, according to the plan of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the preventive decade aimed at preventing alcohol, drug addiction, prevention of ludomania, promotion of a healthy lifestyle for 2nd-year students of OM, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, OZ, held an event “Prevention of the use of psychoactive substances. Psychotherapeutic trainings”.
Organizers: Head of the Department, PhD, Moldagaliev T.M., PhD Zhanybekov S.D., assistant of the Department Almagambetova A.A., Kelsov A.N. resident of 2 years of study, Boyaubaev K.K., Zeynullaev B.B. residents of 1 year of study, 5th year students of GM 5108 group, with the active assistance of the Dean’s Office of the School of Medicine and dentistry.
Dependence on psychoactive substances (surfactants) is now a problem of modern society, especially among the younger generation. Prevention of dependence on psychoactive substances is one of the most important tasks. Therefore, our university annually takes an active part in this event, conducting prevention among medical university students.
The welcoming speech to the 2nd year students of Semey Medical University was delivered by: Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, PhD, Moldagaliev T.M., PhD Zhanybekov S.D., assistant of the Department Almagambetova A.A., Kelsov A.N. resident of 2 years of study, Boyaubaev K.K., Zeynullaev B.B. residents of 1 year of study, student 5 course GM 5108 group Alibekov A.. In their speeches, they highlighted the types of psychoactive substances, the main signs, causes, as well as the consequences of use. Prevention of this disease is extremely important and should be carried out on a regular basis. They noted that non—chemical addictions are a relatively new type of mental disorders: gambling (passion for gambling); Internet addiction; relationship addiction (codependency).
At the end, a psychotherapeutic training was conducted to increase stress tolerance, self-esteem and a positive attitude to life, where students took an active part.
