The incidence of brucellosis in Kazakhstan remains one of the highest among the CIS countries. Experts note that we are second only to Kyrgyzstan in the championship. Moreover, not only animals get sick, but also people. East Kazakhstan is in second place after South Kazakhstan. The problem of brucellosis is interdisciplinary and concerns related specialties, immunology, laboratory diagnostics.
On November 28, 2023, an interdisciplinary online republican symposium on the diagnosis and treatment of brucellosis was held. The symposium was attended by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology of the YUKMA Abuova G.N., associate professors of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology of the ICC Nuralinova G.I., Maukayeva S.B., assistants Kudaiberegenova N.K., Kozubayeva D.B., residents in the specialties “Infectious diseases adults, children”, “Allergology and immunology adult, children”, “Clinical laboratory diagnostics”. The basis of the symposium was the analysis of a diagnostically unclear case of brucellosis. There was a dissonance between clinical and epidemiological and laboratory data. There were speeches by immunologists, clinicians, laboratory service. At the end of the symposium, it was concluded that it is necessary to focus on the complex of clinical, epidemiological and laboratory data and, in this case, intensify treatment. Thus, this symposium helps in determining the tactics of diagnosis and treatment of a particular patient.
