On December 15, 2023, at the military department of the NAO «Semey Medical University», under the guidance of senior lecturer Lieutenant Colonel of the reserve medical service Smailov Nurbek Sadenuly, a curatorial hour was held with students of group 3516 for the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main goal was to foster a sense of patriotism and citizenship, a sense of pride in their native country, education of national identity, development of students’ cognitive interest in history, pride in the historical past, present and bright future of the peoples of Kazakhstan.

There is no future without history, and the December events marked the beginning of the formation of Kazakhstan as an independent sovereign state, and for this we will be eternally grateful to the people who gave their lives in the name of freedom and prosperity of their native land.

We have deeply felt all the pain and suffering of these events.

Today we look to the future boldly, and we believe,

– Everything that has been done is not in vain.

And much has already been achieved,

– And that’s it, it started in December.
