Kazakhs say: “A house with elderly people is a house with a treasure”. Indeed, the older generation is a symbol of greatness and wisdom, so honouring the elders is the duty and obligation of the younger generation. And it has always been so on the expanses of the Great Steppe.
In Kazakhs, relations both within the family and in society as a whole are based on the principle of “ulken-kishi” (elder-younger). This principle is the basis of the fundamentals of human upbringing. Every child from childhood in the family is necessarily told: respect your elders, obey, honour your age. And this education is not limited to just words, every day confirmation of these instructions children see in the simple actions of parents in relation to grandparents, older people, notice the special warmth of communication in the family circle, the strength of family ties.
“Giving our elderly people such a cheerful mood is a celebration,” said the organiser of cultural events of the Nursing Home. The students gave smiles, and pleasant impressions to the participants of the celebration, with beautiful dances and songs. Such events will be continued in the future.
