Infectious psychoses are symptomatic mental disorders that develop at various stages of infectious diseases. They manifest themselves in the initial and acute period and in the long-term period of the disease. Diagnosis is carried out by clinical and psychological methods. Medical treatment is aimed at eliminating the underlying disease and relieving psychopathological symptoms.

On December 19, an interdisciplinary round table was held on mental and behavioral disorders in infectious diseases. The round table was attended by 5th year students of “General Medicine” – 5216, 5108, 5309, 5319, 5230, among them were curatorial groups (5230 – curator Maukayeva S.B., and 5108 – curator Almagambetova A.A.). Mental states in various infectious diseases – influenza, brucellosis, malaria, hepatitis, HIV infection and other conditions. The discussion was attended by the head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology Moldagaliyev T.M., assistant of the department Almagambetova A.A., associate professors of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology Nuralinova G.I. and Maukayeva S.B.
