In Astana, on February 16, 2024, the National Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Branch of the Centers for International Programs Corporation in Kazakhstan (ICAP), held a round table dedicated to the development of pre and post-graduate education in the field of infection prevention and infection control (PIIC) for specialists of medical organizations. The speaker of the round table from the NAO ICC was the head of the Department of Public Health Hismetova Z.A., which presented the position of the university with the volume of educational hours on the topic of PIIK, During the round table, participants actively discussed the submitted reports on improving the infection prevention and infection control system at the level of medical organizations, and adopted a resolution reflecting recommendations and proposals in the Ministry of Health DNDR on the implementation of modern approaches to PIIC.[/vc_column_text]
