World Kidney Day has been held annually on the second Thursday of March since 2006. Hundreds of events are organized around the globe. This is done to make people all over the world aware of preventive measures, risk factors and healthy lifestyle choices for kidney disease.

The main directions of disease prevention include increasing public awareness. Conducting lectures and seminars for specialists, as well as ordinary citizens, information stands in medical institutions should promote a person’s correct attitude towards their health.

As part of World Kidney Day, as well as for the purpose of prevention and awareness of students of NJSC “MUS”, on February 24, 2024, the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Tapbergenov S.O. The event “Take care of your kidneys from a young age” was held in the Student House No. 4. A conversation was held about risk factors for kidney disease and ways to reduce them. Leaflets and brochures were also provided. Based on the results of the conversation, feedback was provided.
