On March 14, 2024, the “Day of Meetings and Greetings” group 5112 OM, together with curator Kazymov M.S., visited the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum of Abai. The house-museum of the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev was first opened in 1940 by the decree of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Kazakh SSR to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the poet’s birth. Abai’s work is presented in several halls of the museum. A particularly unique and modernly designed hall tells about four famous poems by Abai, united in the cycle “Seasons.” This hall features six video projectors with audiovisual installations. We watched an eight-minute film about the seasons.

The main goal of visiting the museum was to awaken our interest in learning the history of our people, particularly the history of Abai Kunanbayev, and to instill in young people a sense of patriotism and love for their country. After visiting the museum, we gained a lot of interesting and useful information. Abai’s work should be ingrained in the consciousness of every Kazakhstani!
