On March 27-28, the XI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Topical Issues of Medicine” was held in the city of Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. Where from our University a 6th year intern GP Baidusenov Dias Zhuldyzovich made a report on the topic: “Improving the surgical treatment of pancreatic necrosis”, scientific supervisor: Aimagambetov M.Zh., Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Hospital Surgery and Anesthesiology and resuscitation, and head teacher of the department of hospital surgery, anesthesiology and resuscitation Masalov A.E.

Also at the conference were delegations from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia and other medical universities in Kazakhstan, which included professors, doctors of medical sciences, practicing doctors, and residents. Next, 6 conference participants visited one of the clinics in Baku, where they took part in a simulation training on laparoscopic surgery: “Laparoscopic gastrectomy is a surgical intervention in which part of the stomach is removed through several punctures in the abdominal cavity. Accordingly, its volume decreases, and the patient subsequently reduces the amount of food consumed and loses weight.”
