On April 27th, 2024, the assistants of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology at the NCJSC “SMU”, together with students from groups 5108, 5425, and 5432 “General Medicine”, conducted a volunteer activity at theMSOP«Regional Specialized Children’s Home» in the Abai region under the leadership of head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology,PhDMoldagaliev T.M., associate Professor,c.m.s. Ospanova N.N.,Almagambetova A.A., c.m.s. SarsembinaZh.D., assistant, PhD SeksenbaevN.Zh., Yermekbaev A.U. and Altybaeva G.K.

The goal of the event was to involve students in charitable activities and help children who are left without parental support. It was also aimed at educating students about human values such as mercy, compassion, and kindness, as well as promoting spiritual and moral development.

The assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, Almagambetova A.A., made a welcoming speech and talked to the students about the importance of paying attention and caring for children. The students approached each child with special attention, conducted educational games with them. Then, the students presented the children with gifts in the form of sweets, T-shirts and diapers. The children were delighted and laughed, establishing good contact and receiving a lot of positive emotions. It was a fun and interesting experience! The senior tutor of the baby homeKalenova G.T. and psychologist Edilbayeva E.K. thanked the students for their attention to the children of the «Regional specialized children’s home».  Students became motivated to do positive things, positive thinking and increased empathy!
