On 05/06/2024, a curatorial hour was held at the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology on the topic: “The concept of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026”.

The assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology Almagambetova A.A. made a welcoming speech to the 5th year students of Semey Medical University. In her speech, she highlighted that the main purpose of the event was to form students’ understanding of corruption, legal self–awareness. The main objectives of the anti-corruption policy are: prevention of corruption; ensuring responsibility for corruption manifestations; formation of anti-corruption consciousness. The purpose of anti-corruption is to eliminate corruption in society.

The objectives of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan are the formation of intolerance to corruption, exclusion of opportunities for corruption, improvement of measures to ensure the inevitability of responsibility, improvement of the activities of the authorized body for combating corruption, strengthening the role of civil society in combating corruption.

The concept of legal education, a general idea of the essence of corruption, its forms, features of manifestation in various spheres of society, socially dangerous and harmful consequences of this phenomenon are given. The students were introduced to the prevention and reduction of the negative impact of corruption, as well as to the elimination of the causes and conditions contributing to its occurrence.

The students actively engaged in discussions, held a free-form discussion and asked questions. At the end of the meeting, the students noted that they had gained knowledge about various legal norms and the assimilation of values.
