Industrial practice for students of the specialty “Pharmacy”

Industrial practice is part of the educational process and is intended to provide practical skills in working in a production environment in the chosen specialty and consolidate the theoretical knowledge acquired by the student at the university. In 2024, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was concluded with the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute. During the period from 04/30/24 to 05/15/24, 4th year students of the specialty “Pharmacy” completed practical training “Industrial Technology of Medicines” in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of the pharmaceutical companies “Aseptica” LLC, “Nika Pharm” Company,“ ”Company Nobel”, Research and production enterprise “Radiks”.

     The purpose of this practice is: to consolidate the theoretical knowledge acquired during the study of the discipline “Industrial Technology of Medicines”.

Aseptica LLC is a pharmaceutical company that produces and sells ophthalmic drugs, as well as medicinal and hygiene products for irrigating the oral and nasal cavity. The products meet the requirements of ISO:13485 thanks to modern material and technical base. Production facilities – workshops and warehouses are technologically clean and built according to international GMP quality standards.  The main advantage of Aseptica LLC remains the quality of its products. The drugs are recognized as effective by medical specialists in the field of ophthalmology and otolaryngology and are in demand among patients. The main product line is intended for the treatment and prevention of glaucoma, cataracts, and other diseases of the ocular surface, including dry eye syndrome. In addition, a wide range of drugs is suitable for local treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, inflammatory processes of the oral cavity, pharynx and nose.

Nika Pharm Company Production of medicinal products includes the full cycle of production of drugs and dietary supplements – production of tablets and capsules, sachet packages of substances and excipients. The production site of LLC “NIKA PHARM” consists of three workshops, two of which (workshop No. 1, No. 3) are certified according to the requirements of O’zDST 2766:2018.  Activities of workshop No. 1: packaging and packaging of solid drugs (tablets and capsules), packaging of sachet bags, labeling and packaging of nasal sprays.

Activities of workshops No. 2, No. 3: production of solid dosed drugs and dietary supplements (tablets, capsules); powders (sachet packages) and liquid drugs (sprays). In accordance with the final results of the training, during the internship, students mastered the skills of producing solid dosage forms (tablets, capsules), injection solutions and aseptic dispensing of antibiotic powders.
