In the modern world, religious identity plays a significant role in personality formation, especially among young people. However, the growing interest in religious beliefs can lead to an increase in manifestations of extremism and terrorism. The issues of religious security and countering these phenomena are becoming more and more urgent. In this article, we will look at the key aspects of this problem and suggest ways to solve it.

Youth environment as an object of influence: Young people seeking to find their identity and place in society are often influenced by various factors, including religious ones. Youth communities and groups can form common beliefs, which makes them vulnerable to extremist ideas.

The role of the Internet and social networks: With the development of Internet technologies and social networks, access to information, including religious concepts, is becoming more widespread. However, it also increases the risk of radicalization through online propaganda and recruitment.

Education as a key factor: Education plays an important role in preventing radicalization and extremism. The introduction of special courses on religious tolerance and critical thinking into the curricula helps young people develop a critical view of religious issues.

Participation of religious leaders and civil society organizations: Religious leaders and civil society organizations play a key role in the fight against extremism and terrorism. Providing young people with opportunities for dialogue, teaching peace-loving values and supporting social programs contribute to preventing radicalization.

Legal measures and controls: Legal measures aimed at combating extremism and terrorism play an important role. However, it is important to find a balance between ensuring security and protecting civil liberties and the rights of young people.

Conclusions: Religious security among young people requires a comprehensive approach. Education, public participation and religious leaders, as well as legal measures are important tools in the fight against extremism and terrorism. The main thing is to create an environment in which young people can express their beliefs without fear and radicalization, as well as develop critical thinking and tolerance.
