The IV regional competitions among ambulance crews have been completed in the regional center as part of the implementation of measures to improve the ambulance service, introduce international standards for the organization of emergency care, and consolidate practical ambulance skills. The competition was timed to coincide with the Day of the Medical Worker, under the motto: “Help, take, do no harm!”
This competition was attended by assistants of the Department of General Medical Practice of Ust-Kamenogorsk Akhmetova S.S., Yensibayeva Sh.D, Zhunusova M.K as a commission of independent experts.
The conditions turned out to be as close as possible to the real situation: someone was saving a patient with a heart attack, someone “got” polytrauma, they were helping a child of eight years old who jumped into the water and was in the water for about 3-5 minutes.
By the way, for the first time, employees of the dispatch service took part in the competition, receiving and processing calls from the public, they have a “Call Hold” function, in which dispatchers explain step by step the actions of self-help and mutual assistance before the arrival of an ambulance team in emergency cases (cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, home birth, etc.).
“We wanted to show how difficult and responsible our work is. And how much we want to do it professionally, according to new international standards. The teams demonstrated their knowledge and skills at a high level, which were evaluated by a commission consisting of independent experts-employees of the SMU, NCJSC ,” said Yerzhan Meyrbayev, Chief Physician of the East Kazakhstan SSMP.
The teams of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk were recognized as the best: 1st and 3rd places, the honorable second place was taken by the brigade of the city of Zaisan.
